earncal: earnings calendar

earncal is the ConvexValue Terminal app that lists the companies reporting earnings, day by day: when in the day they report, and the earnings per share and revenue with their estimates.

How to use earncal

earncal takes no symbol and no parameter. Type the command in the command bar of a pane. In a browser, the app opens at convexvalue.com/go/earncal/.

Parameters

None. The command is the whole configuration.

How to read it

Each day has a table with one row per company:

Column What it is
Symbol The company's ticker.
Time When it reports: Before Market Open or After Market Close.
EPS The earnings per share reported. A dash until the number is out.
EPS Est. The estimate of the earnings per share.
Revenue The revenue reported.
Revenue Est. The estimate of the revenue.
Fiscal Date Ending The last day of the fiscal period the report covers.
  • econcal: the macroeconomic releases.
  • ip: the ranges the options of a stock imply for the expirations after its report.
  • terms: the implied volatility of those expirations.
