Left Pane

In the previous section on tabs we saw how you can have multiple dashboards and toggle between them.

The "Left Pane" is a special pane that persists across tabs. That is - you can toggle between tabs and the "Left Pane" will remain unchanged.

The most common usage of the Left Pane is to monitor a list of tickers. You can always keep an eye on it even as you switch between tabs.

The default module on the "Left Pane" is the flow module that lets you see a rank of the stocks with highest options premium traded during the current session.

If you don't need the "Left Pane" you can either hide it or power it off. Hiding it will keep it running - which is useful if you want to hide it momentarily and then display it again - and powering it off will not, which is useful so it doesn't consume your CPU and RAM if it doesn't have to.
